Starting with 1 March, Akropolis Klaipėda, the major shopping and entertainment centre in Western Lithuania, will be headed by Tomas Rimkus, highly experienced in the management of real estate and shopping centres. As the new manager of the shopping centre, he replaces Kristina Viskontaitė who has headed the shopping centre since early 2021.
T. Rimkus graduated as an economist from Vytautas Magnus University, worked as the manager of the shopping centre BIG in Klaipėda for over 3 years, and during the past 4 years, he has worked in the real estate management business.
“We believe that the experience of Tomas, the new manager of the shopping centre, in the field of real estate management will allow us to maintain the leadership of Akropolis Klaipėda in the region and ensure the further success of its operations,” says Rasa Kundušienė, Head of Asset Management at Akropolis Group. “We thank Kristina for her successful management of the shopping centre over the past challenging years – Akropolis Klaipėda has remained the leader among the shopping centres in Western Lithuania despite the trade restrictions imposed during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
According to T. Rimkus, the shopping and entertainment centres management activities are very diverse and dynamic, but the focus should be on customers’ positive shopping experience.
“In this period, it is very important to provide customers with the best possible experience of convenient shopping, a relevant and wide choice of shops, points of service provision and places to spend leisure time. For Akropolis Klaipėda to remain choice No. 1 in the region, I will seek to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the shopping centre and develop constructive partnerships with tenants. Rimkus, the new manager of Akropolis Klaipėda.
